The systemd service cmv12k is autostarted when boot on and calls the kick.sh and halt.sh scripts on startup and shutdown respectively and those scripts in turn call the kick_manual.sh and halt_manual.sh which also should be used when the cmv12k service is disabled for whatever reason.
