Talk: EVF Evaluation
Hi everyone,
apart from the specs, there might be some experience that anyone wants to share. I've been using a Zacuto EVF Flip + Z-finder for the last 3 years. I bought the EVF because I was using the Z-finder already on my Canon 5D Mark II. I used it so much that I sticked the frame to my camera instaed of using other means to attach the Z-finder to my camera. I bought the EVF later to make it easier to use DSLR's and other camera's (I'm currently filming with a Canon C100) shoulder mounted or on steadycam (see full rig with links). I find the Zacuto easy to focus with, even with F1.4, and it has the same great features found on most EVF's (zebra, false color, audio levels), etc. From what I know from suppliers in The Netherlands is that you can always send it back if you don't like it. It's not consumer stuff that you have to keep if you open the box.
